Attending Training at ET Australia

ET Australia offers a variety of benefits to students who choose to study with us. From a dedicated and supportive team consisting of Training Officers, Product Specialists and Quality Managers to a free student hub and resources area, you can rest assured that you have everything to succeed in your training.

Training Support Team

When you study at ET Australia, your Trainer isn’t your only point of contact for support with your training. Our support team consisting of Training Officers, Product Specialists and Quality Managers are here to assist you to navigate through your training when you’re in and out of class.

Student Hub

ET Australia students get free access to the student hub located at our Gosford training facility. The student hub gives students free access to computers, Wi-Fi, printing and photocopying for study related activity between 8:30am-5pm from Monday to Friday.

Employer Network Access

Part of completing training at ET Australia means you have access to our employer network. Our employers regularly come and ask us for job ready students to fill their employment vacancies and we put both past and current students forward for these positions depending on employer requirements.

Work Placement

Through ET Australia’s employer network we are able to link students to work placement opportunities aligned to their study and vocational roles. Students are joined by their Trainer or are on their own when completing work placement depending on what part of their training program they are up to.

ET Australia Training College maintains up to date knowledge of community service organisations available for you to access when you are a student with us. We recognise that by linking students in need with local community service providers we are equipping students with the resources required to help them achieve their training and employment goals.

ET Australia Training College is committed to providing a supportive learning environment to all our students. We recognise that students come from diverse backgrounds and have unique needs. Our support services are designed to help students overcome barriers to education and ensure equal opportunities for success in their studies and future careers.

Academic Support

Learning Assistance: Available to assist students with their studies, offering one-on-one and small group sessions to clarify concepts and provide academic guidance.

Alternative Assessment Arrangements: Modified assessment methods, such as oral presentations instead of written assessments, extended time for submission of assessment tasks, or the use of assistive technology.

Learning Resources: Access to comprehensive learning resources, including learner guides, videos and PowerPoint presentations to support independent study.

Disability Support Services

Individual Support Plans: Customised support plans are developed for students with disabilities to ensure they have equitable access to learning and assessment activities.

Assistive Technology: Provision of tools for text to speech, Windows speech recognition.

Physical Accessibility: Ensuring that facilities are accessible, including ramp, lift, and adapted restroom.

Personal Support

Counselling Services: Access to a professional counsellor to help students manage personal issues that may affect their studies.

Mental Health Support: Resources to support students experiencing mental health issues, including referrals to external services.

Crisis Support: Immediate support for students experiencing a personal crisis, including referrals to emergency services and accommodations.

Financial Support

Payment Plans: Flexible payment options for student fees to ease financial strain.

Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Support

Assessment: LLN levels are assessed on enrolment to identify any support needs.

Literacy and Numeracy Tools: Individualised LLN training supplements are available to assist students to improve basic literacy and numeracy skills necessary for course completion.

Cultural and Social Support

Indigenous Student Support: Access to ET Australia’s Aboriginal Liaison Officer.

Cultural Awareness Training: Programs for staff to assist them with promoting an inclusive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.

Career and Employment Services

Career Counseling: Guidance on career options, resume assistance, and job interview preparation.

Work Placement Support: Assistance in securing work placements, including partnerships with employers.

Technology Support

IT Help: Training Officers are available to assist students with technical issues related to online enrolment, electronic completion and submission of assessment work and digital resources.

Computer Access: Onsite computers are available for students who need access to technology for their studies.

Implementation

Induction: All students are introduced to the available support services via the Student Handbook and during the enrolment / induction process. This ensures that they are aware of the resources and assistance they can access throughout their studies.

Ongoing Monitoring: Trainers and support staff continuously monitor students’ progress and wellbeing. Regular check-ins and feedback sessions help identify any emerging support needs.

Feedback Mechanisms: Students are encouraged to provide feedback on the support services through surveys. This feedback is used to improve and adapt support services to better meet students' needs.

Funding Your Future

Discover various payment alternatives offered by ET Australia to fund your training, including government-subsidised programs aimed to alleviate financial strain.

Payment Plans

Agreements can be established for students who can’t pay fees in full at the time of enrolment and/or because of regulatory requirements whereby ET cannot collect more than $1,500 in prepaid fees for any student.

College Scholarships
