2.Making a difference. It’s true that working with the elderly or disabled can be both physically and emotionally demanding at times, however the flip side is that it’s also very rewarding. Your role will directly affect a person and their family’s quality of life and influence their mood and behaviour, meaning you have the capability to become much more than ‘just a carer’.

We’ve saved the best for last because according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, by 2064, more than 23% of our population will be 65 or over meaning your qualifications are much more likely to guarantee you a job for the length of your career.
