ET Australia Training College has been awarded a NSW Government Smart and Skilled contract. This contract allows ET Australia Training College to provide subsidised training to eligible students, including classroom based and self-paced students, and trainees. To be eligible for a Smart and Skilled subsidised training place students must be: -

• 15 years old or over
• no longer at school
• living or working in NSW
• an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

Holding a Smart and Skilled contract also allows ET Australia Training College to apply for subsidised part qualification programs (short courses) to meet industry / employer needs. Many of our programs are currently ‘fee-free’*. It is always best to discuss your circumstances with one of our friendly Product Specialists who will investigate what subsidies may be available to assist you in achieving your study goals. *Training in priority qualifications is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth Governments. Eligibility criteria apply.  

To apply for a position in one of our classroom based programs, you need to attend an Information Session. At the Information Session, you will be provided with more details about the program to allow you to make an informed decision. If you decide the program on offer is something you would like to apply for, you fill out an application form and meet with a staff member one on one. During this time you can ask any questions you may have, and we can get to know you a little better. All applications are assessed and then offers of enrolment are made. If you receive an offer, we will then guide you through our enrolment process and once this is complete, you are ready to commence training!

Yes. If you are working in the industry that is related to the area of study, you can apply to study via a self-paced mode. Self-paced study gives learners the flexibility to study at times that suit their life circumstances. Learners can work through learning material independently, knowing that a dedicated Trainer and Assessor will guide them through the training and assessment process and be available for support when required. This mode of study suits students who have workplace support, have good time management skills and don’t need the structure of a classroom based program.

We release detailed information for all our courses 6-8 weeks prior to them commencing. Once released, there will be detailed program information available on our website, and you can always ring and speak with one of our friendly Product Specialists.

ET Australia Training College spends a lot of time researching the local job market on the Central Coast. We work with local employers to determine their recruitment needs and what they are looking for in entry level workers. We only deliver training on the Central Coast in areas where there is a high demand for well-trained entry level workers. While we can not guarantee you will get a job from our training, we make sure that we have assisted you wherever possible as we want to see you succeed in your vocation of choice.

Yes! ET Australia Training College staff will work with you to identify the skills, knowledge and experience you currently have. You can gain recognition through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. Applying for recognition can reduce the amount of time you need to study, and you may get your qualification faster.

No. Where you have already achieved a unit of competency from previous study you can apply for Credit Transfer. Credit Transfer provides credit towards your study, meaning you do not need to redo units previously achieved.

Timeframes to complete study vary and depend on whether it is a part qualification training program, a full qualification training program or a traineeship. The information about the course duration is outlined in the relevant program flyer.

No, we do not. Many of our students utilise before and after school care and day-care centres close to where they train. This allows students to focus on their studies while in class and on work placement. Many of our students utilise the Child Care Subsidy and the Additional Child Care Subsidies available from Services Australia which reduces most, or in some cases all of the costs of childcare whilst training.

It is a requirement to do personal care to achieve the ‘Ageing’ specialisation of the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support qualification. This involves assisting individuals with their personal care needs and it could be anything from showering to oral hygiene. Some of our students go on to work in paid roles where providing personal care is not a job role requirement, however it is a mandatory component for award of the qualification.
