OVERVIEW
The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is a nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals seeking to build a rewarding career as a disability support worker.
This program is ideal for people who are already working in the industry and want to build their knowledge, develop practical skills and gain a formal qualification through a structured learning and assessment pathway.
About the Training Program
This program is delivered onsite at ET Australia Training College in Gosford through evening classes, allowing participants to balance study with work and personal commitments.
The delivery model combines structured classroom learning, skill development and workplace-based assessment. This integrated approach ensures participants can actively engage in training and apply their learning in a real-world setting during the program.
Throughout the course, students will gain a strong understanding of disability support and develop the skills to:
- Provide person-centred, individualised support to people with disabilities
- Promote independence, inclusion, and well-being
- Apply safe work practices in direct support roles
- Work effectively as part of a team
Workplace requirements
This program is specifically designed for participants who are currently employed in the disability support industry and able to complete workplace learning and assessment activities as part of the program.
All participants must:

- Have ongoing employer support to undertake the qualification
- Have access to suitable workplace tasks and responsibilities required to complete assessments
