The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care training program is subsidised by the NSW Government under the Smart and Skilled initiative (eligibility criteria applies).
If you are passionate about encouraging children’s education through engagement and learning this program is for you. You will be provided with the skills and knowledge necessary to play a vital role in paving the way for a child’s future education.
This entry-level qualification is for anyone wishing to commence a career in the early childhood sector or for anyone who has been working in the industry for a number of years who wishes to formally recognise their knowledge and skills.
The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification is seen as the minimum qualification required for work in the sector according to current industry regulatory requirements.
Students will learn how to provide quality care for children. The program will provide students with the confidence to allow them to assist with children’s learning and development outcomes through the facilitation of leisure, play and routine activities. In addition, students will be given the skills and knowledge needed to promote health and safety and adhere to ethical and legal frameworks, whilst developing positive and respectful relationships with children and connecting with their world.
In order to successfully complete the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care training program students must complete work placement of at least 120 hours in a regulated education and care setting catering for children aged 0-6 years. During work placement students are required to work across different age groups of children. The approximate allocation is 40% (0-2 years of age) and 60% (2-6 years of age).

Training Days: Classroom days – Mondays and Tuesdays
Dates: 9 September 2019 – 3 March 2020
Venue: Young Parents Hub, 2A Amy Close, Wyong (except during work placement)
Times: 9.15am to 2.45pm
Work Placement: At least 120 hours must be completed in a regulated education and care service catering for children ages 0-6. Satisfactory completion of all assessment activities including 120 hours+ of work placement are required to achieve the qualification. Work placement will be integrated weekly from week 5 of the program. Undertaking an average of 8 hours of work placement weekly from week 5 will mean that the required 120 hours will be achieved by the end date of the program. Work placement will be completed outside of the classroom training days.
Please note, this program is approved with Centrelink as a full-time program.
