This training is subsidised by the NSW Government under the Smart and Skilled initiative (eligibility criteria applies).
This nine week, one day per week, business taster program has been designed to give you an insight into classroom based learning, to prepare you for further study or employment.
You will develop basic skills and knowledge of career planning and skills development in preparation for work in a variety of roles.
You will learn about workplace communication including fundamental knowledge of effective listening, questioning and non-verbal communication. You will learn how to complete written routine workplace correspondence and how to produce simple word processed documents.
You will learn in a supportive classroom environment. The study will provide you with the knowledge of what to expect if you transition into higher level studies, allowing you to understand what it is like to study, adding to your awareness and ultimately making you feel more prepared and confident
This business taster program is accredited and includes 3 units of competency. Upon successful completion of all 3 units you will be issued with 2 separate nationally recognised Statement of Attainments. One Statement of Attainment will be from BSB10115 Certificate I in Business for the unit BSBLED101 Plan skills development. The 2nd Statement of Attainment will be from BSB20115 Certificate II in Business for the units BSBCMM201 Communicate in the workplace and BSBITU201 Produce simple word processed documents.
There are no formal entry requirements for this business taster program, however, you will require basic computer knowledge. Access to a computer at home is recommended for completion of at home assessment work however ET Australia have computers available for students to access during business hours.
