Business Trainer and Assessor

Qualifications/Experience: I started my career in Hotels and was an Event Manager at 26 of a Five Star Hotel in Sydney. I then travelled and worked in London for 9 years before re-establishing myself in Australia as a Trainer and Assessor. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management, Certificate IV in Business Administration, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and am currently studying my Diploma in Vocational Education and Training.        

Responsible for: Teaching Certificate I/II/III/IV in business, as well as designing and delivering customised business related courses.  I have delivered to various groups, from job seekers to Council Management. I also manage students who have gained a business traineeship in various industries across the Central Coast.

What inspires you about your job: I get asked quite often what I love about my job, and I can honestly say that it is being in a position where I can change someone’s life. I believe that my role as a trainer goes beyond delivering a qualification. I get inspired constantly by my students who quite often have come from difficult backgrounds. To see them persevere and obtain their dream career is very exciting and rewarding to know that I have helped to some degree.
