COURSE SUMMARY

The BSB40515 Certificate IV in Business Administration qualification is perfect if you are looking to build your career by advancing your administration skills. You may be looking to take on higher level roles and duties such as a team leader role in an office environment.

Ideally, you will already be in the workforce as there is a strong focus on both communication and computers.

The BSB40515 Certificate IV in Business Administration will develop high level administrative skills allowing you to perform a range of more complex administrative tasks.

The qualification can be customised to suit your vocational needs as there are a range of elective units available for selection.

Possible job outcomes for graduates include accounts supervisor, executive personal assistant, office administrator, project assistant.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements.

The preferred pathways for Applicants considering this qualification include completion of BSB30415 Certificate III in Business Administration or other relevant qualification/s OR vocational experience in providing administrative or operational support to individuals and/or teams but without a formal business administration qualification.

Students will require access to a computer and the internet to complete this qualification (access to computers / internet is provided for classroom based study). In addition, the following software may be required depending on subjects being undertaken:
• Microsoft Office applications to suit subjects chosen e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Applicants are required to have Word processing skills to an intermediate (Certificate III) level.

Good English skills are necessary to complete all components of the qualification successfully.

Numeracy skills are only required to a basic level eg calculations with calculators.

Ideally students should be employed in a business environment and / or supported by an employer to ensure access to a workplace for the application of learning and for assessment purposes. If access to a business environment isn’t available, our ET Trainer / Assessor will consult with you to identify other possible avenues for application of learning.

STUDY PATHWAYS

Students who successfully complete this qualification could progress their studies to BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration.

STUDY MODES
 

Study modes for this qualification include:

Self-paced learning – Allows learners the flexibility to study at times that are suitable. Learners can work through learning material independently knowing that a dedicated Trainer and Assessor will guide them through the training and assessment process and be available for support when required. This mode of study suits students who have good time management skills and who don’t need structured face to face sessions. Access to a workplace is needed for successful completion of this qualification.

Employment based traineeship – An employment based traineeship allows for delivery on the job with a Trainer and Assessor conducting workplace monitoring and assessment. Duration – 24 months full time (part time traineeships also available). Eligibility criteria applies. Note, where a trainee holds an approved Certificate III level qualification eg BSB30415 Certificate III in Business Administration, the full time training term is reduced to 18 months.
