COURSE SUMMARY

Prepare yourself for administration roles with the BSB30415 Certificate III in Business Administration qualification.

The qualification will provide you with solid skills and knowledge required for employment in general business operations. This course is perfect for those who are looking to build a career in office administration. It is also ideal for those who want to sharpen their business administration skills.

You will learn skills including communicating in business, producing workplace documentation and using business technology. There is also the option to learn skills in processing payroll and accounts payable and receivable and maintaining financial records.

Possible job outcomes for graduates include accounts receivable clerk, accounts payable clerk, clerk, data entry operator, junior personal assistant, receptionist, office administration assistant, office administrator or word processing operator.

  • 2 core unit plus
  • 11 elective units

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements however it is recommended that applicants considering this qualification have completed BSB20115 Certificate II in Business or other relevant qualification/s or have vocational experience assisting in a range of support roles without a formal business qualification.

Students will require access to a computer and the internet to complete this qualification (access to computers / internet is provided for classroom based study). In addition, the following software may be required depending on subjects being undertaken:
Microsoft Office applications to suit subjects chosen e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

Ideally students should be employed in a business environment and / or supported by an employer to ensure access to a workplace for the application of learning and for assessment purposes. If access to a business environment isn’t available, our ET Trainer & Assessor will consult with you to identify other possible avenues for application of learning.

It is recommended that all applicants have sound computer, language, literacy and numeracy skills.

STUDY PATHWAYS

Study Pathways; Students who successfully complete this qualification could progress their studies to BSB40515 Certificate IV in Business Administration.

 

STUDY MODES

Study modes for this qualification include:

Classroom based learning – A structured training program delivered via classroom based sessions. Classroom based learning allows students to participate in group activities, group learning and group discussion.

Employment based traineeship – An employment based traineeship allows for delivery on the job with a Trainer and Assessor conducting workplace monitoring and assessment. Duration – 12 months full time (part time traineeships also available). Eligibility criteria applies.
