COURSE SUMMARY

If you are looking to make a start in the business world then the BSB20115 Certificate II in Business is ideal.

This qualification will prepare you for a variety of junior administrative positions in a business environment.

You will learn about different procedures in business including effective communication, customer service, health and safety, team work and you will develop a working knowledge of office software and business technology.

Possible entry level job outcomes for graduates include administration assistant, clerical worker, data entry operator, information desk clerk, office junior, receptionist.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements.

Students will require access to a computer and the internet to complete this qualification (access to computers / internet is provided for classroom based study). In addition, the following software may be required depending on subjects being undertaken:

  • Microsoft Office applications to suit subjects chosen e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Applicants considering this qualification require sound literacy, language and numeracy skills.

STUDY PATHWAYS

Students who successfully complete this qualification have the underpinning knowledge and skills to continue their studies in related areas including BSB30115 Certificate III in Business and BSB30415 Certificate III in Business Administration.

 

STUDY MODES

Study modes for this qualification include:

Classroom based learning – A structured training program delivered via classroom based sessions. Classroom based learning allows students to participate in group activities, group learning and group discussion.

Employment Based Traineeship – An employment based traineeship allows for delivery on the job with a Trainer and Assessor conducting workplace monitoring and assessment. Duration – 12 months full time (part time traineeships also available). Eligibility criteria applies.
